Southeast Asia’s Largest Tourism Event: Iconic Water Features

Iconic Multimedia Water Features will highlight the upcoming VIJITR 5 Regions project, held from April 29 to May 7, 2023, at River Park, ICONSIAM. The Tourism Authority of Thailand organizes the event and aims to promote sustainable tourism and meaningful travel experiences.

The VIJITR 5 Regions project is a tourism event that showcases Thailand’s cultural diversity and natural beauty. Iconic Multimedia Water Features will participate in the Central Region under the concept “Moo Light Experiences VIJITR Mu (Telu),” a light and sound show that reflects the beliefs of Thai people about moonlight and bathing in the moonlight for positive energy and prosperity.

Iconic Multimedia Water Features is a spectacular show that combines water, light, colour, sound, and multimedia. It is the most extended multimedia water feature in Southeast Asia, with the most diverse multimedia mix in the world. The show harmoniously blends Thai culture and traditions and has won the Gold Stevie Awards 2019 in the Art, Entertainment & Public – Art Event category from the 16th Annual International Business Awards.

Mr Supoj Chaiwatsirikul, Managing Director of ICONSIAM Co., Ltd., said that the company’s participation in the VIJITR 5 Regions project reinforces its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism and attracting domestic travel. Iconic Multimedia Water Features is a renowned landmark along the Chao Phraya River and a popular destination for Thai and foreign travellers. The project will be another source of pride for ICONSIAM, which created a new world-class attraction in Thailand to be widely known worldwide.

The Legend of the Naga is the main attraction of the Iconic Multimedia Water Features. The spectacular multimedia display conveys the tale of four Naga families. The show will run four rounds daily during the event period from April 29 to 30 and May 1 to 4 at 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. and May 5 to 7 at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.

Besides the multimedia show, visitors can join the Snap & Share activity to win an E-voucher worth more than 500,000 baht and auspicious talisman stickers.

Iconic Multimedia Water Features is not the only attraction at ICONSIAM. The global landmark along the Chao Phraya River has been selected as a venue for many events, including conferences, seminars, entertainment activities, and world-class art exhibitions. It is considered a top tourist attraction in Bangkok based on a survey of travellers who use Grab transport service from six Southeast Asian countries.
