THAI Partners with the Embassy of Japan to Launch Special Flights to Japan

Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, Acting President, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), and H.E. Mr. Nashida Kazuya, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj, THAI Executive Vice President, Commercial, Mr. Nond Kalinta, Acting THAI Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategies and Sustainable Development, and THAI members of Management discussed the launch of special flights to Japan at the Embassy of Japan in Thailand.

Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj announced that THAI has partnered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Japan in Thailand to operate special flights to Tokyo for Japanese expatriates, foreigners who have residency in Japan, and Thai passengers with business or travel purposes. Flight TG642, available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from October-December 2020, departs from Bangkok at 23.50 hours and arrives in Tokyo (Narita) at 08.10 hours (local time).
THAI’s tickets on these routes are sold as one-way tickets. Passengers can use the existing tickets and ROP award tickets on these special flights with terms and conditions applied. THAI will also deliver cargo on roundtrip flights. In addition, THAI  will continue to collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bring Thais home. Those who wish to be repatriated may register at http://site.thaiembassy.jp/th/news/announcement/9458/.
Starting in November, THAI will begin operating special flights to Osaka. The Company is ready to continually operate special flights to accommodate more passengers flying between Thailand and Japan. Physical distancing is applied in every aspect of service by THAI, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring passenger hygiene in every flight.
