The St. Regis Bangkok presents a new afternoon tea in partnership with Italian handcrafted jewelers miSiS, exclusively at The St. Regis Bar.
Available from 1 August to 30 September 2022, the exquisite afternoon tea was designed by Executive Sous Chef Kaew Kesinee Damrongsakul, who draws inspiration from MiSiS’s latest “The Language of Flowers” jewelry collection and her own love for flowers.
The aesthetics of the afternoon tea celebrates the jeweler’s creative expressions of flowers, emboldening guests to convey their personality through the timeless language of floral blossoms.
Sweet and savory delights in the culinary experience include Blueberry Cheese Tart, which draws reference to the jeweler’s Marisol collection and its orchid muse. Signifying gratitude for being loved, orchids are a popular gift on Thai Mother’s Day coming up on August 12th.
Other jewelry collection references include the Peach and Cherry Mousse which nods to the MiSiS Asolo collection featuring cherry blossoms, known to symbolize interior peace and rebirth. The Green Apple and Vanilla Choux, on the other hand, matches with the white flowers and glossy green of the tiaré flowers symbolizing beauty and grace in the Everglades collection.
The Duck Breast and Beetroot with Cherry Blossom and Wild Berries Sauce is based on the delicate iris flowers in the Gemina collection which embody wisdom and the promise of hope. Exuding the vibrancy of the poppy flowers in the Volterra collection, chosen to represent beautiful simplicity, is a Hamachi with Ponzu Sauce and Pickled Red Radish.
Other savory delights in the afternoon tea set include Crab and Cucumber Rolled with Caviar, Prawn and Avocado Mousse, and Smoked Norwegian Salmon and Spinach Pinwheel.
A Lemon and Cherry Blossom Macaron is designed around the Liberty collection with its namesake, which invites guests to spread their wings and enjoy life to its fullest with positivity and joy. Also included in the sweets selection of the afternoon tea is decadent Baba with Lavender and Vanilla Syrup.
The delicate aroma of lavender also lends itself to the creation of Lavender Scones, presented alongside classic Butter Scones and served with lemon & jasmine spread, apple & vanilla jam, and clotted cream.
In addition to designing the latest afternoon tea, Executive Sous Chef Kaew oversees all the restaurants at The St. Regis Bangkok, drawing from her wealth of refined and Michelin-starred experience spanning the UK, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
The Language of Flowers afternoon tea experience is priced at THB 1,800++ per set including tea or coffee for two persons – all tastefully presented in the signature butterfly shape of MiSiS’s Liberty collection. The afternoon tea is presented during 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM from 1 August to 30 September 2022 at The St. Regis Bar and The Drawing Room on the 12th floor of The St. Regis Bangkok.
