UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, organized the opening ceremony of “UNHCR 70th Anniversary Exhibition” commemorating its humanitarian work, as well as solidarity and support received from all sectors in Thailand and around the world to help people forced to flee amidst the highest levels of displacement on record that UNHCR has seen in 70 years.
The exhibition opens for public from today until 20 December 2020 at the Multi – Function Room, 1st Floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) with no admission fee.
The event began with welcoming speeches by Mr. Giuseppe De Vincentiis (center) UNHCR Representative in Thailand and Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra (3rd from left), Director General, Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by a special talk by Ms. Thapanee Eadsrichai (3rd from right), Founder of The Reporters. Mr. Piyarat Kaljareuk (2nd from right) UNHCR High Profile Supporter, H.E. Mrs. Ana María Prieto Abad (2nd from left) Ambassador, The Embassy of the Republic of Colombia, H.E. Mrs. Kjersti Rødsmoen (far left) Ambassador, The Royal Norwegian Embassy and Mr. Wanchai Tachavejnukul (far right) Managing Director, Krishna Mongkol Co., Ltd. also participated in the event at the Multi – Function Room, 1st Floor, BACC.
