Air Canada Expands: New Asia Routes Set for 2024

From mid-December, the Vancouver-Hong Kong route will witness up to 11 weekly flights, a robust response to the holiday and Lunar New Year travel surge. Similarly, the Vancouver-Bangkok flights will operate daily during the peak winter months, extending the season into early May 2024.

April 2024 will launch a new route to Singapore, a strategic move tapping into the burgeoning Southeast Asian market. Concurrently, the airline is set to resume its Osaka service earlier in the season, starting May 2024. These additions reflect Air Canada’s keen eye on fast-growing markets, offering passengers more choices and convenience.

Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, Mark Galardo, highlighted the airline’s focus on Asia. “Our services in Asia are witnessing strong demand. We’re boosting capacity and strategically deploying our resources to where they matter most. This winter, we’ll operate up to 57 weekly flights between Canada and Asia, escalating to 64 next summer,” Galardo stated.

He further emphasized the significance of the new Singapore route and the enhanced capacity of the Bangkok route. “These are not just new flights; they’re bridges connecting diverse cultures, economies, and people,” added Galardo.
