Mr. Hiroshi Yokota, President and Chief Executive Officer – Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “At Canon, we are committed to conducting business while giving back to society and the communities we serve. The Canon Volunteer activity covers various areas such as the environment, education, community, and society. Our latest initiative focuses on enhancing the quality of life for young people, recognizing them as the foundation for future social development. We provided support to the Foundation for Slum Childcare in Klong Toei community which plays a crucial role in assisting many underprivileged children.

In addition to donating a high-quality camera and printer to support the foundation’s operations, Canon’s employees also raised funds to provide essential items for the children. We believe in supporting the youth by ensuring they develop age-appropriate skills, as they will play a vital role in the sustainable development of the country.”

Established in 1981, the Foundation for Slum Childcare operates under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra at Baan Som Wai in the Klong Toei Community offers care and support to children, ranging from infants to five years old, residing in Lock 12 of the Klong Toei community. These children face substandard living conditions and often suffer from neglect and abuse due to social challenges. The foundation is dedicated to providing these children with essential nourishment and proper care while fostering learning opportunities across various fields. Its goal is to enable children to grow and develop in a healthy manner. This CSR activity aligns seamlessly with Canon’s Kyosei philosophy, which centers on working together in harmony for the common good.
