In a bold move that illustrates the power of ingenuity and perseverance, Thailand’s eminent hospitality brand, Dusit International, recently presented its burgeoning portfolio of distinctive properties to an awe-inspired audience at a two-city China Roadshow’. Aiming to project its influence further within China and beyond, Dusit’s ambitious mission was encapsulated in the events held in Beijing on June 27 and Shanghai on June 30, attended by leading trade and media partners.
This ground-breaking venture was led by Dusit’s Commercial Vice President, Nichlas Maratos, who oversaw the participation of sales executives from select Dusit Hotels and Resorts from different corners of the globe, including China, Maldives, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam. Their mission was clear – to showcase Dusit’s unrivalled Thai-inspired gracious hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to Chinese travellers at each property.
Maratos and his team delved deep into the ‘four pillars of Dusit Graciousness’, a fundamental philosophy at the brand’s heart, comprising Service, Locality, Well-being, and Sustainability. The initiative extends beyond mere words, with each Dusit property integrating these four tenets to offer unique Thai-inspired experiences to discerning guests.
The company’s pioneering Devarana Wellness concept, a group-wide wellness initiative addressing guests’ most common concerns, such as stress, detoxification, and deep restorative sleep, was a focal point. Authentic dining experiences were another highlight, emphasizing local specialties prepared with the finest local ingredients to delight even the most discerning palates.
Dusit’s delegation didn’t stop merely showcasing existing properties but also unveiled an exciting array of new and upcoming properties worldwide. Dusit’s first-ever hotels in Europe and Japan are Dusit Suites Athens and ASAI Kyoto Shijo. The show-stealer, however, was unveiling Dusit Thani Mogan Mountain, Huzhou, a wellness-focused property expected to soften in July, alongside the debut of Dusit’s first properties in Nepal.
In a testament to Dusit’s dynamic growth, the company revealed plans for two more wellness-oriented properties in China – Dusit Devarana Hangzhou and Dusit Princess Suites Hotel Ganzhou. This aggressive expansion will see Dusit’s global portfolio surge to 62 hotels (approximately 13,700 keys) across 17 countries worldwide. In an ambitious plan that signals the company’s confidence in its growth trajectory, Dusit also unveiled plans for more than 60 new properties in the pipeline for the next three-to-four years.
At the heart of this rapid expansion is the Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel, Dusit’s most significant project. Set to open in mid-2024, this flagship hotel will be part of Dusit Central Park, a landmark $1.37 billion mixed-use development. Offering a sneak peek into this grand project, residents’ representatives shared insights, painting a picture of a prime address that would appeal to discerning Chinese investors.
