Le Cordon Bleu Dusit & DBS Host Unique ‘Culinary Excellence Camp

Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School and DBS Denla British School collaborated to host the Culinary Excellence Camp (DBS X Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School), The camp provided young culinary enthusiasts from Year 4 to 8 at DBS with hands-on experience in a professional kitchen as they crafted savory and sweet menus and delicious beverages alongside friends and chef instructors. This four-day camp offers a memorable and skill-enhancing experience for the children. These little chefs also brought home the delectable dishes they created, leaving parents at home equally impressed.

The junior chef’s camp offers an exciting four-day culinary adventure in a warm and joyous environment. During the first three days, participants engage in cooking classes at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit, guided by expert chefs. On day one, they dive into baking ‘Chocolate Cookies’ and crafting ‘Hot Chocolate,’ a rich and sweet beverage beloved by kids. The culinary journey continues on the second day with ‘Homemade Red Pork Noodles,’ a classic dish known for its unique and delicious flavors. Day three presents a challenge with the menu featuring ‘Young Coconut Juice Jelly with Glutinous Rice and Longan Pudding in Verrine.’ After gaining confidence through three days of cooking, the young chefs return to their school, DBS, on the fourth day to showcase their skills, preparing ‘Seafood Rolls’ and ‘Hibiscus and Berry Soda.’ Notably, parents of these aspiring chefs are invited to join in a relaxed ‘Tea Time’ activity, during which they savor tea while watching their children’s culinary prowess and enjoying the special dishes created in collaboration with the chef trainers. To culminate this enriching experience, students receive certificates from Le Cordon Bleu Dusit to proudly display at home.

This activity aims to introduce children to the world of cooking, offering a fun and interactive experience. Students not only acquire valuable culinary skills but also have the opportunity to assist their parents in the kitchen. Furthermore, it serves as an inspiring introduction to potential careers in the culinary world for these young participants, igniting their passion for the food industry.

The collaboration with DBS School to create an engaging and educational culinary programme underscores Le Cordon Bleu Dusit’s unwavering dedication to offering students the opportunity to master exceptional cooking techniques. The school caters to diverse age groups, welcoming individuals with varying levels of culinary experience, including those completely new to the world of cooking, such as students. Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School offers specialized programmes for young learners, such as the “Junior Chef” (aged 8 – 11 years old), and the upcoming programme “Teen Chef” (aged 12-15 years old). These programmes cover a spectrum of cooking skills, starting from the fundamentals and progressing to advanced levels, preparing students to embark on their journey into the real and dynamic world of the food industry.
