Pamookkoo Resort – Phuket, Thailand

Experiencing the brand new festive ground for families, on the big Island Phuket, Thailand.

Located in the middle of modern Kata tourist district -, the Resort is flanked by world-renowned Kata beach, restaurants, tour companies, convenience shops and souvenir shops with easy access to private taxis as well as public transport to explore the Island and transfers from and to the airport.

The 8th newly-built hotel from Kata Group Resorts, Pariyawit Achariyachai, son of Hotel Mogul and Kata Group President, Pramookpisitt Achariyachai has designed and built the Resort, naming it after his visionary father.

I smell the newness at the very entrance of the rustic but lavishly designed lobby at Phuket’s newest gem of a Resort, which held soft opening ceremony in late October 2019.

A staff member – dressed in scout-like uniform, humbly escorted me to my spacious room, and probably, I am the first to use the luxury of a well appointed room, fitted in modern amenities.

The philosophy behind the Pamookkoo Resort, initiated by Phuket’s oldest hospitality group (Kata Group of Hotels and Resorts) is to pamper – not only children, but to reinvent a child in the adult on the grounds uniquely set for aqua adventure and for a memorable experience for visitors. This family-oriented Resort has a three-level water-slide, adult pool and shallow pool for young children by the Kids’ World.

The perspective from my balcony afford a 360 degree view of the architecture of the Resort and delivered a sense of being transported to some ancient civilization, inspired by the epic movie Indiana Jones,

Dining options (more restaurants in progress) inclues the All-Day-Dining at Mookoo Nest Restaurant, which dishes out local Thai favorites: including tom Yam khung, green curry, phad-thai; and International favorites like variety of pizzas, the irresistible tiramizu, cheese cake, rich dark chocolate cake – and not to miss the chef’s recommended – Banana split with three flavors of delicious ice-cream. The new menu promises to cater vegan dishes.

This Resort is fully equipped for meetings, incentive, conferences and events (MICE). There are four different sizes for the function rooms. The largest function room is Pamookkoo, with a capacity of 700 for a reception. Two other large function rooms are available, Geology Room can hold up to 230 guests for a reception, and Zoology Room has a capacity of 200 for a reception. A boardroom, Forrest Room, can hold 30 persons theatre-style.

Look out for special offers on the occasion of the new opening of the siesta.
