Radisson’s Bold Expansion in SEAP Excites Travelers

Radisson-Hotel-GroupIn a trailblazing move, the Radisson Hotel Group is primed to further imprint its elite insignia across the thriving travel scenes of South East Asia and Pacific (SEAP). The focus is laser-sharp, targeting the bustling capitals and the traveller’s paradises of countries, including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Unveiling this ambitious stride at the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific, the hotel giant is set to escalate its upper upscale segment – the Radisson RED brand, bringing it to the forefront in critical locations: Danang (Vietnam), Phuket (Thailand), and Cebu City (Philippines). Concurrently, introduce the luxurious Radisson Collection brand to Galle (Sri Lanka) and the pristine beaches of Boracay (Philippines) by 2024. Meanwhile, the upper-upscale Radisson Blu brand is on the horizon for Colombo (Sri Lanka) and the picturesque Hoi An (Vietnam).

Speaking about the hotel behemoth’s aspirations, Elie Younes, the EVP and Global Chief Development Officer of Radisson Hotel Group, passionately commented, “Our unwavering momentum in Asia, credited to our esteemed partners and global community, promises unmatched experiences spanning from midscale to sheer luxury. With over 150 hotel incorporations in APAC to date, our trajectory aims for unparalleled excellence.”

Mirroring this sentiment, Ramzy Fenianos, Radisson Hotel Group’s Chief Development Officer for Asia-Pacific, expressed, “The introduction of iconic brands like Radisson RED and Radisson Collection into SEAP’s dynamic marketplace solidifies our commitment to these regions. These additions signify landmark moments in our journey, propelling our vision for these prospective epicenters of travel.”

To further illuminate the group’s milestones:

  • Sri Lanka: Poised to dominate the market, Radisson’s expansion witnessed the inclusion of three elite hotels in 2023, placing it en route to be Sri Lanka’s hotel magnate. Specifically, the luxurious Radisson Collection Resort in Galle, due in 2024, will offer guests a distinctive blend of local authenticity, cutting-edge design, and remarkable oceanic vistas.
  • Philippines: The archipelago gears to embrace the Radisson RED and Radisson Collection brands. Notably, the Radisson Collection’s debut with the Fridays Boracay in 2024 marks a significant pivot in luxury beachside experiences.
  • Thailand: Emphasizing Thailand’s critical role, the group initiated seven hotel signings in 2022, outlining the brand’s fervour for expansion in this tourism hotspot.
  • Vietnam: Following the success of its existing quartet of hotels, Radisson readies itself for eight new launches. The emphasis remains on providing travellers with unparalleled hospitality, as seen with offerings such as the sprawling Radisson Blu Resort in Hoi An.
