The year 2023 witnessed Radisson Hotel Group not just adding a record number of keys but also maintaining its dominance with the Radisson Blu brand as Europe’s largest upper upscale brand for the 12th year. This consistent performance underlines the Group’s strategic prowess and unwavering commitment to excellence in the hospitality sector.

Elie Younes, the visionary Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, eloquently expressed his gratitude towards the collaborative effort that led to this milestone. “Our robust performance in 2023, marked by over 250 signings and openings globally, is a collective achievement,” he said. “Looking ahead to 2024, we anticipate a landscape shaped by moderating inflation and strong investor interest in our sector. Our focus remains on innovation and adaptability to foster further growth and enrich guest experiences.”

Key highlights of 2023 included the Group’s expansion in major cities with the opening of iconic properties like Hotel Berlin, Berlin – the first Radisson Individuals property in Germany’s capital, and significant forays into Paris, Thailand, and India. The Radisson Collection brand also made impressive strides with market debuts and key openings across India, Nigeria, Egypt, and Lithuania.

Radisson Hotel Group’s strategic partnership with PPHE in 2023 accelerated the global growth of the premium lifestyle art’otel brand, enriching the Group’s portfolio with its unique fusion of art and lifestyle. Notable openings like the art’otel London Battersea Power Station have cemented the brand’s reputation for combining artistic flair with luxury hospitality.

The year also marked a significant chapter in 21st-century hospitality with the opening of the flagship Radisson Blu Hotel at Porsche Design Tower Stuttgart and the announcement of the new Radisson Blu Hotel in the Paris Triangle project. Designed by the acclaimed Herzog & de Meuron, these properties are poised to become architectural

landmarks in their respective cities. Furthermore, the Group’s expansion strategy included notable additions in Jordan, Morocco, India, Turkey, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria.

Radisson’s eponymous brand emerged as the fastest-growing industry, with nearly 40 new properties added in 2023. This expansion included notable openings in Switzerland, the UK, and new markets like the island of Réunion, Budapest, and Baku. In India, the Group’s presence was significantly bolstered with the opening of Radisson Hotel Sonamarg, marking their seventh hotel in the Kashmir region.

Adding to the vibrancy, the Radisson RED brand marked its debut in Serbia, Helsinki, and Georgia, introducing its bold, social, and hyper-connected hospitality to these regions. This expansion reflects the Group’s commitment to providing innovative and contemporary hotel experiences globally.

The Group’s focus on resorts has also been prominent, with new additions such as Radisson Blu Resort, Mani in Greece, Radisson Blu Resort, Kumbhalgarh in India, and Fridays Boracay, A Radisson Collection Resort in the Philippines. This strategy emphasizes the growing relevance of resorts in the Group’s business and strategic growth plans, with more significant expansion expected in 2024.

For the third consecutive year, Forbes Magazine honoured the Group as the third-best employer worldwide in the Travel and Leisure industry. This accolade is a testament to the Group’s dedication to its team members.
