THAI Airways & Jim Thompson Unveil Eco Royal Silk Kit

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the airline’s journey, signifying its commitment to eco-friendly practices while providing a luxurious in-flight experience.

The newly launched kits, reserved for Royal Silk Class passengers on selected routes, are a testament to THAI’s dedication to enhancing the comfort of its passengers. Crafted from biodegradable materials, these kits are a step towards sustainability and embodiment of Thai aesthetics and craftsmanship. The exclusive Jim Thompson prints on each kit bring a touch of Thai heritage to the skies.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr Chai Eamsiri, CEO of THAI, emphasized the dual focus on luxury and sustainability. “Our partnership with Jim Thompson is a leap forward in offering an unrivalled in-flight experience that is both luxurious and eco-conscious,” he said. Mr Eamsiri also highlighted the unique tour package inspired by the amenity kit’s Porcelain pattern, offering passengers an immersive cultural experience in Thailand.

Frank Cancelloni, Group CEO at Jim Thompson, expressed pride in the partnership, noting that it symbolizes a shared goal of elevating Thailand’s international presence. “This collaboration allows us to showcase the fusion of traditional Thai grace with contemporary design,” he stated, underscoring the brands’ commitment to authenticity and innovation.

The kits feature six exclusive prints, each narrating a different Thai culture and beauty story. From the vibrant ‘Bupha’, celebrating Thailand’s Dendrobium orchids, to ‘Mini Elephants’, a playful tribute to the nation’s iconic elephants, each design offers a window into Thai traditions and natural splendour. Other designs like ‘Porcelain’, ‘Amphawa’, ‘Royal Garland’, and ‘Yatra’ equally contribute to this rich tapestry of Thai experiences.

Beyond the aesthetic appeal, the kits include a range of premium amenities crafted from biodegradable materials, aligning with THAI’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.
